How can I claim my Apple Music for Artists profile?

You can claim your artist page from either the Apple Music for Artists iOS app or the Apple Music for Artists website. 

Apple grants Administrator access to the first artist or artist manager that requests to claim the profile. Once that Administrator gains access, they can add additional team members like label representatives, for example.

 


I requested access to my Apple Music for Artists profile, but I haven’t received an update. What is the status of my application?

If it has been more than 10 business days and you have not received communication about your application’s status, contact us for assistance. Be sure to check the email inbox associated with your Apple ID.


I lost access to my Apple Music for Artists account. How can I get my access back?

If you were previously granted access to your artist page but can no longer access your profile, be sure to check that you are using the correct login credentials. If you are still unable to locate your profile, contact us.

If you cannot remember your Apple ID or password, go to Apple ID Support for assistance with recovering your Apple ID and resetting your password.


My music is missing from my Apple Music artist page, or there is music from another artist that doesn’t belong there. How can I fix this?

Albums from multiple artists can appear on the same artist page, especially if they have the same name. In these instances, the iTunes Store will either create a new page or move the album to the correct artist page. 

To correct this issue, contact usselect Artist Page Issue as the topic, and provide the following information:

  • Are you approved for Apple Music for Artists? (Yes/No): 
  • Artist name: 
  • Links to all albums by the artist: 
  • Link to the correct artist page:

To obtain links to artist pages or albums in Apple Music, click the ellipsis, click Share Album or Share Artist, then click Copy Link.


Why isn’t my music available on Apple Music?

Distributors must follow specific guidelines to deliver your music. If you dont see your music live on Apple Music, contact your distributor for support as they have the tools and access to resolve this issue.


How do I make changes to my music?

Updates to release dates, track or album titles, and text formatting such as capitalization changes must be be provided to Apple Music by your distributor or label.


How do I update my artist bio?

Apple sources artist biographies from TiVo. For requests to add or update a bio for your artist page, contact TiVo. While you may submit bio updates to TiVo, responses are not guaranteed.

There’s another artist’s bio appearing on my artist page. How can I fix this?

If the biography on your artist page is for the wrong artist, contact us for removal.


How can I create an artist page in Shazam?

Shazam artist pages are created when your distributor delivers your music to Apple Music. The artist image that appears on the Shazam artist page links to the Apple Music for Artists Artist image submitted through Apple Music for Artists. 

If you can not find your artist page in Shazam or it is incorrect, contact us.


How long does it take for my Top Songs to appear on my Shazam artist page?

Top Songs on Shazam artist pages are based on your top Shazamed songs. After your Shazam artist page gets created, allow up to 5 business days for the Top Songs to display.


How do I get my lyrics on Shazam?

Shazam receives lyrics from Musixmatch. Submit or change lyrics by contacting Musixmatch. We reserve the right not to display lyrics due to licensing restrictions.


My YouTube video is incorrect in Shazam. Can I remove or change it?

We cannot change or remove YouTube videos.

Videos appear on track pages in Shazam based on the music category, video views, and metadata. To ensure the correct videos populate, update the YouTube video with the accurate title and remove any additional version information or special characters in the artists official YouTube channel to match the Shazam track page.


I have questions about my concert dates in Shazam or need assistance updating them. Where should I go?
