Apple Music introduces concert discovery features

Fans can now explore upcoming concerts using Spotlight Search, Apple Music Guides, and Set Lists. Once you’re set up with Bandsintown, your concerts will automatically appear in Spotlight Search, and will have the potential to be shown in Apple Music Guides and Set Lists as these editorial features grow. 

With Spotlight Search, users can swipe down on the Home Screen of their iOS device to search for and explore more information about an artist, including their upcoming concerts. Tapping on an upcoming concert date launches a dedicated concert page powered by Shazam. On the concert page, fans can browse ticket options, access venue details, and view the artist's top songs.

On Apple Maps, users can find over 40 Apple Music Guides showcasing top venues for live music. Fans can browse Guides by city, genre, and music scene, and access a list of upcoming performances. They can also find tickets, add concerts to their calendars, gather more information about the venue, and listen to songs by artists performing there.

Concerts are also discoverable on Apple Music through Set Lists that spotlight major upcoming tours. Fans can read about show production, listen to tour Set List playlists, explore artist catalogs, and browse upcoming concerts through Shazam’s concert discovery module — part of a suite of features previously introduced by Shazam.
